Sarajevo - The architect of the Dayton peace accords, Mr Richard Holbrooke, held talks in Sarajevo yesterday with Bosnia's leaders to persuade them to get the peace process back on track. The US envoy met the members of Bosnia's tripartite presidency - the Muslim Mr Alija Izetbegovic, the Croat Mr Kresimir Zubak and the Bosnian Serb Mr Momcilo Krajisnik - in Lukavica in Bosnian Serb territory.
The visit is the first since Mr Holbrooke came out of retirement from the US State Department last year to force the Bosnian Serb leader, Dr Radovan Karadzic, from public office, a deal he negotiated with leaders in Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia. - (AFP)
