A company involved in arranging holidays for sick children has been wound up by the High Court over failure to pay an outstanding debt of €12,000 to PrintWorld Ltd for the printing of brochures.

Ms Justice Mary Laffoy yesterday appointed Kieran Wallace liquidator to The Children to Lapland Appeal Limited, with a registered address C/O United Travel, Clonkeen Road, Deansgrange, Co Dublin.

The charity has arranged trips for approximately 12,000 terminally ill children, including visits to see Santa in Lapland, over the last 25 years.

Con Murphy, chairman of The Children to Lapland Appeal, said he had made a proposal to PrintWorld Westlink House, Old Lucan Road, Palmerstown, Dublin, to pay the debt over a period of two years or less but that offer was not accepted.
