Heuston Station to reopen today after refurbishment

Dublin's Heuston Station is due to reopen at noon today after weekend refurbishment works.

A spokesman for Iarnrod Eireann said peak-time services would be available for people returning to Dublin following the Bank Holiday weekend. Bus transfers will continue to operate between Heuston and Kildare train stations until noon.

Maintenance work is continuing on the DART line between Howth Junction and Howth. A limited bus transfer service will operate up to the line's reopening tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Dublin Bus has moved a number of bus terminuses from Abbey Street to other city centre locations to facilitate the construction of the Luas light rail system. Since yesterday, routes 25, 25A, 26, 66, 66A, 66B, 67 and 67A have moved to Wellington Quay; routes 37, 38, 38A and 70 to George's Quay; routes 39 and 134 to Burgh Quay; and routes 5, 7, 7A, 7X and 8 to Eden Quay. Other routes affected are 39X, 66X, 67X, 70X and 172.
