A primary healthcare centre officially opened in Naas, Co Kildare, today will create 120 jobs.

A primary healthcare centre officially opened in Naas, Co Kildare, today will create 120 jobs.

The €25 million Vista primary care campus will provide a range of medical services to public and private patients aimed at reducing hospital dependency.

The multi-disciplinary medical facility houses a cardio clinic, eye clinic, a weight management centre and a pharmacy as well as providing GP services. It is expected to cater for around 140,000 patients per annum.

Minister for Health Mary Harney said the services at Vista would “undoubtedly complement the primary care team services being developed by the HSE in Naas and the surrounding areas”.

Vista chairman, Ulick McEvaddy said: “International experience has shown that as populations expand primary care facilities are an essential element in supplying top-class medical services”.

“We can deliver a best-in-class, modern, customer focused facility by using the latest in medical services and technologies,” he added.
