Outbreak of winter vomiting bug at Beaumont Hospital

Visiting restrictions in place this weekend in effort to contain spread of norovirus

Visiting restrictions are in place at Beaumont Hospital this weekend in an effort to contain an outbreak of norovirus, known as the winter vomiting bug.

The public are asked to avoid Beaumont Hospital, St Joseph’s Hospital Raheny and the Raheny Community Nursing Unit, as visitors or as A&E patients, unless in an emergency.

Essential visiting may only take place between 6pm and 8pm, and only one visitor is permitted per patient at one time.

Children are not allowed to visit the hospital until further notice.
