ARTHRITIS SELF-MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME:People who suffer from arthritis often say that managing their condition at home and in their everyday lives is difficult. If you suffer from arthritis and need help to manage your everyday activities better, then consider doing an arthritis self-management programme, run by Arthritis Ireland.

PANCAKE PARTIES:Fancy making pancakes to help raise funds for sick children? If so, register your pancake party (to be held February 16th-20th) with the Odlums National Pancake Party in aid of the National Children's Hospital, Tallaght. YOGA WORKSHOP FOR ALCOHOL ADDICTION:Many advocates of yoga, t'ai chi and other mind/body exercises claim that regular practise can help people cope better with emotional challenges. Caoimhe Whelan is a yoga teacher who battled with alcohol addiction for many years. On Saturday, she will hold a one-day yoga workshop for women who have or had an addiction to alcohol. 1MILLION4DISABILITY LAUNCH:Today at noon, MEP Kathy Sinnot will host the Irish launch of the European 1million4disability campaign to collect one million signatures for stronger disability legislation. It will take place in the European Parliament Office, Molesworth Street.

Under EU law, one million signatures from its citizens supporting a campaign compels the European Parliament to take decisive action on the issue.
