Motivational speaker, adventure athlete and author Mark Pollack will give a public talk in Trinity College Dublin tomorrow at 7pm. The event is part of a series of lectures organised by not-for-profit initiative Acorn Ireland.

Glenstal Abbey Library in Murroe, Co Limerick is the venue for a Journey into Awareness weekend from Saturday to Monday next.

It will be led by Buddhist retreat leader Jean Finn and hypnotherapist and psychotherapist Christine Beekman.

The second international Cloud Festival will feature cloud-spotting walks in villages in counties Sligo and Leitrim this weekend.

A conference featuring Gavin Pretor-Pinney, founder of the UK Cloud Appreciation Society, will be held in the Irish Organic Centre, Rossinver, Co Leitrim on Saturday afternoon.

Medical herbalist Vivian Craig is leading wild medicine foraging walks on Mondays in Galway city over the next few months.

The 90-minute walks leave from Galway Cathedral at 3pm on July 30th, August 13th and 27th, and September 10th and 24th. The cost is €10 adults, pre-teens free and wheelchairs and buggies are catered for. Email craig.vivian@gmail.com
