The head of MSF Ireland (Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders), Jane-Ann McKenna, who has just returned from South Sudan, will give a talk on the country's refugee crisis tomorrow, at 6.30pm in the Royal Irish Academy, 19 Dawson Street, Dublin 2. The Rotunda Hospital, Dublin has gained international award status for the second time as a Baby Friendly Hospital that actively promotes breastfeeding as part of recognised standards of best practice in the care of mothers and babies. The Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative is a global project of the World Health Organisation and UNICEF.

Champion jockey Nina Carberry will be swapping a riding saddle for the bicycle variety in the Paddy Power Race to the Races 200 km cycle challenge later this month. Participants are invited to join the Dublin to Galway Races event by signing up to irishheart.ie/race2theraces. The cycle challenge comes with an option of a one-day cycle on 30th July or two-day cycle starting on 29th July.
