Irish front row forward John Hayes has withdrawn from the team to face Italy on Saturday, after sustaining an injury on training.
The Munster prop, who was due to make a comeback at international level in Saturday's clash, injured his calf at a training session yesterday and this afternoon it was confirmed that he would not feature in plans for the weekend match. He is set to be replaced by Leinster captain Reggie Corrigan.
Hayes also missed the summer tour of Australia, Tonga and Samoa due to injury.
