Newington, Connecticut - An angry accountant went on a shooting rampage at Connecticut's state lottery headquarters, killing four senior executives before shooting himself, officials said.

The accountant, Matthew Beck, killed three of his colleagues inside the building and then chased the lottery president, Mr Otho Brown, outside into a parking lot and shot him dead with a semi-automatic handgun, police said. One employee said Mr Brown alerted employees to the gunman. The gunman, who had returned to work a week ago after a four-month leave of absence, was reported to have filed a job-related grievance in August.
