Footballing colleagues of accident victim John Joyce formed a guard of honour for the former GAA star following his requiem Mass in Galway yesterday.
The Church of St Ignatius was filled for the funeral of the 29-year old Salthill man, who died after falling from a balcony while on holiday in the Canary Islands last week.
He was a nephew of the broadcaster Terry Wogan.
Mr Joyce captained the Galway minor footballers who won the All-Ireland title last year.
