Former Green Party senator Dan Boyle was the victim of a minor robbery while attending the Cork Film Festival over the weekend, However, his sense of humour remained intact as he revealed on Facebook that the culprits declined to steal a Green Party umbrella, reports Olivia Kelleher.
The thieves had taken his iPhone charger and a couple of euros in cash.
The Chicago-born politician said the thieves chose not to steal a Green Party umbrella which was on the back seat.
“I suppose they couldn’t live with the social stigma,” he said.
