Gardaí at Pearse Street are seeking witnesses to a reported assault in Dublin city centre on September 2nd.
It is alleged that a woman was assaulted on Hawkins Street at around 3am by a male in his 30s and that two men came to her assistance, chasing the attacker down Hawkins Street towards Burgh Quay.
Gardaí are appealing for information from anyone who was in the Hawkins Street area at the time - and in particular the two men, believed to be of African origin, who chased the attacker.
They also want to speak to anyone who saw two women sitting on the footpath on Hawkins Street opposite the Chaplin Pub and beside the Screen cinema to contact them at 01- 6669000.
