Garda& acute;are awaiting the outcome of a post mortem on a woman who died in Dundalk earlier today before proceeding with their inquiries.
The woman, 48, was taken to Louth County hospital in Dundalk where she died at around 1 p.m.
It is understood she may have some marks on her body. It is believed she was feeling unwell today and her partner who lives with her called an ambulance.
Garda& acute;are interviewing a number of people in connection with the woman's death.
