Gardaí are investigating two separate overnight shootings in Limerick city and west Dublin.

Gardaí are investigating two separate overnight shootings in Limerick city and west Dublin.

At least three shots were fired into a house at Garryglass Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston, Limerick at about 1.00 a.m.

One shot hit the front door; the others went through the front windows. The house was occupied at the time, but nobody was injured.

Detectives from Roxboro Road Garda Station are investigating.

Gardaí are also investigating a shooting at Donomore Green in Tallaght, west Dublin, last night.

A number of shots are believed to have been fired at a house and into the back of a car parked outside at about 1.40 a.m. The house was occupied but there were no injuries.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination.
