Gardaí in Cork are appealing for assistance fromthe public in their investigation into a serious sexual assault.
Theassault took place in the grounds of the Lough Church, Bandon Road, CorkCity in the early hours of this morning.
The victim,a girl in her 20,s was walking at the rear of the church when she wasapproached and attacked.
Gardaí are anxious to talk to anyone who may havebeen in the Lough Road/Bandon Road/Deanroches Cross area between the hours of 12.15am and 01.15am this morning and who may have seen or heardanything suspicious.
