Gardaí investigating the death of a man in Dublin on Monday have appealed for a taxi driver to contact them.

Gardaí investigating the death of a man in Dublin on Monday have appealed for a taxi driver to contact them.

The driver, described as a black man, collected four Eastern European males in the Bridgewater Quay/Conyngham Road area of Dublin between 9.30pm and midnight on  November 27th.

He then brought them to the Blanchardstown area, dropped off 3 males and then continued to the Lucan area where he dropped off the other male.

According to a Garda spokesman the fare was €46 but the driver accepted €40 from the last passenger in Lucan.

The man (29) died from head injuries after he was attacked near his friend's apartment at Bridgewater Quay.
