The Gardaí at Coolock in Dublin are appealing for witnesses to an assault which occurred in the early hours of this morning.
A 17-year-old youth was seriously injured in the incident which happened between 12 midnight and 3.30 a.m. this morning in a laneway at the rear of Maryfield Drive, Artane.
The youth is in a critical at Beaumont hospital.
