Four people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Dublin last September.

Four people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Dublin last September.

Jason Martin died following a brawl in a car park at a pub on Park West Road, Ballyfermot in the early hours of Sunday September 27th last year.

Two gangland factions in the Ballyfermot area are believed to have been involved in the row.

When gardaí arrived at the scene, they found up to 20 people involved in the disturbance. They were carrying a variety of weapons such as knives, broken glasses and broken bottles.

Mr Martin was found by gardaí near steps which led down to the car park. He was taken to Tallaght hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

This morning gardaí arrested the two men and two women in the Dublin area.

The two women, both in their thirties, and a man in his 20s are being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act in Ballyfermot and Clondalkin garda stations.

The second man, aged in his 30s is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act in Ballyfermot Garda Station.
