Foo Fighters set to rock Oxegen

American hard rock group Foo Fighters have been confirmed as one of next year’s headline acts for Oxegen.

American hard rock group Foo Fighters have been confirmed as one of next year’s headline acts for Oxegen.

The band, fronted by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, are the first act to be confirmed for next year’s festival which takes place at Punchestown Racecourse between July 7th and 10th.

Foo Fighters were formed in the 1990s and have won three Grammys for best rock album.

Their new album is due out in advance of their Oxegen appearance and Grohl has said that it will be their heaviest record to date.

Early bird tickets for next year’s festival go on sale on Wednesday and a four day camping pass can be bought for €219.50, a €25 discount on the general ticket price of €244.50 which go on sale in March.

Other headline acts are due to be announced later this week.
