Five arrested in organised crime sweep

Gardaí have arrested five men in Dublin as part of an ongoing investigation into organised crime in the city.

Gardaí have arrested five men in Dublin as part of an ongoing investigation into organised crime in the city.

Gardaí carried out six searches in Dublin and Kildare today and arrested the five men aged between 28 and 77.

All are being detained under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.

Two of the men are being detained at Dun Laoghaire Garda station, two are being questioned at Blackrock Garda station and one is being questioned at Dundrum Garda station.
