Sporting Fingal 3 St Patrick's Athletic 3:Sporting Fingal recovered from a sending off to score an injury time equaliser and force a replay against St Patrick's Athletic in the FAI Cup quarter-final this evening.

Fingal were two goals up within 18 minutes thanks to goals from Hynes and Philip Byrne.

Pat's were rocked but recovered brilliantlt and dealt their opponents a massive blow with three goals in the space of 10 first half minutes.

A quickfire Mark Quigley brace brought them level. The striker's first was a an accurate shot from the edge of the box, while his second came from the spot in the 42nd minute after Byrne was ruled to have handled the ball.

Pat's completed a remarkable turnaround thanks to a Gary Demspey strike on the stroke of halftime.

Fingal emerged defiant in the second half but after going close on a number of occasions Robbie Doyle was dismissed in the 88th minute and all looked losts.

One twist remained for the underdogs, however, and when Joe O'Cearuill fouled Daniel Corcoran in the box Colm James grabbed the vital equaliser from the spot to ensure a replay.
