Financial software firm Fincad has announced a €500,000 investment in its new EMEA headquarters in Dublin, creating up to 30 new jobs.
The centre, which is based in Blackrock, is intended to develop and support the company's international growth. A spokeswoman for Fincad said the company, which began operations in Ireland in 2007, hoped to build on the initial investment.
Fincad provides valuation, risk assessment and regulatory compliance software tools to help financial institutions to manage exposure to risk.
Speaking at the official opening of the centre today, the Minister for Innovation Policy at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment. Michael Ahern, said Fincad's decision to base its EMEA base in Ireland was a significant development for the Irish financial services sector.
Fincad's chief executive, Bob Park, said the Irish economy, tax regime and educated work force were primary reasons for its decision to locate its regional headquarters here.
