A file is to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions in relation to two youths who were questioned in connection with vandalism at a Limerick rugby ground.

The youths, aged 16 and 18-years-of-age were arrested in the Moyross part of the city yesterday under section Section Four of Criminal Justice Act and questioned at Mayorstone Garda Station.

They have been released without charge.

Just under 500 sods of turf were dug up at Thomond Park last month leading to the closure of the rugby ground for five weeks resulting in €20,000 worth of damage.
