The family of a 23-year-old Armagh man facing charges connected to the Real IRA have expressed grave concern about his safety.

Mr Gareth O'Connor has not been seen since leaving his home yesterday morning to sign on at Dundalk garda station. There were fears last night among dissident republicans that he had been abducted by the Provisional IRA.

The 32 County Sovereignty Movement said Mr O'Connor had been warned by the PSNI that the Provisionals wanted to "speak to him about republican activity".
