Westlife's Shane Filan became the third member of the boyband to marry when he wed his long-time girlfriend, Gillian Walsh, in Ballintubber Abbey, Co Mayo, yesterday.
About 350 people attended the ceremony, which was followed by a reception at nearby Ashford Castle on the shores of Lough Corrib.
Guests included the Taoiseach, Mr Ahern, who was accompanied at the event by his wife Miriam. Mr Ahern's daughter Georgina and her husband, Westlife's Nicky Byrne, also attended.
The ceremony and reception were private, but unlike previous Westlife weddings, there was no exclusive coverage deal, and the couple posed for media photographs outside the 13th-century abbey.
More than 200 fans of the band braved cold and wet weather to watch the bride arrive at the church in a white horse-drawn carriage.
