Two masked men forced a woman to empty her workplace safe last night in Newry, Co Down.
Around 8.30pm the two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the woman’s home in the Barcroft area and took her partner and 18-month-old daughter hostage.
They forced woman to drive to a Burger King outlet, near The Quays shopping complex, empty the safe and deliver the money to Domonic Street.
There, another masked man took a "substantial sum" of cash from her. Sources said at least £10,000 was taken in the raid.
