The first incident occurred at an address on Loreto Road in Dublin 8. The team arrived at the scene at 2.15am and it was declared safe an hour later.

A controlled explosion was not carried out and the remains of the device were handed over to gardaí for their investigations.

The second incident was at a house in Greenmount Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston in , Limerick. The team arrived at the scene at 3.15am and it was declared safe at 5am. Again, there was no requirement for a controlled explosion and the device found was given to the gardaí.
