Wild life competition

Watch out for information about this year's Esso Schools' Wildlife Challenge

Watch out for information about this year's Esso Schools' Wildlife Challenge. The competition, seven years old this year, is open to fourth, fifth and sixth classes in the Republic and Primary 5, 6 and 7 in Northern Ireland. This year's prizes include a camcorder, a specially commissioned wildlife painting and native Irish trees and shrubs. Closing date is Friday, March 26th, next.

In the individual section, entrants must write and illustrate a postcard campaigning for the plantation of more trees in Ireland. The section for groups or classes is to compile three front pages of a local environment newsletter - for March 1998, March 1999 and March 2009.
