UCC'S latest step to promote the Irish language on campus will be taken this week. Come Thursday, An Seomra Caidrimh Nua in O'Rahilly Building will be officially opened, to serve as an Irish language common room for all staff; students and members of the public attending Irishlanguage courses will be able to avail of the room by prior engagement.
The same day sees the launch of the website set up by Ionad na Gaeilge Labhartha, the centre for spoken Irish (www.ucc.ie/ucc/igl/).
On the subject of websites, NUI Maynooth's university calendar is now available at www.may.ie/calendar. It gives information on all the university's courses and student support services.
