Bookings are now being taken for the 11th Adlerian Summer School, which takes place the first week of July at the Christian Brothers High School, Clonmel, Co Tipperary. The workshops have been approved by the Department of Education for primary-school teachers.

Adler, a contemporary of Freud, was a pioneer of peer education.

Speakers include David Carey, senior lecturer on the special education programme at Froebel College, Sion Hill, on "Educating the Whole Child"; Frank Main, chairman of the division of counselling and psychology in education at the University of South Dakota and author of Perfect Parenting and Other Myths, on "The Marriage as a Parenting Tool"; and Terry Kottman, a professor of counsellor education at the University of Northern Iowa, with a lecture entitled "How You Play is Who You Are".
