Whitehall House Senior College in Dublin is holding an open day on Wednesday, February 25th, from 1pm to 5pm. Students can meet staff and students to discuss the range of PLC and adult education courses on offer.

Farm day(1):

Start planning now to visit the Agricultural College in Multyfarnham, Co Westmeath, on Wednesday, March 25th. It's a chance to view the college's facilities, meet the staff and collect leaflets and information about the Teagasc courses that are on offer there. Students can visit individually or in groups. Deadline looms:

Get those paint brushes out again to put in those finishing touches because any CAO applicants for any of the following six art and design courses FT544, FT545, FT546, DT515, DT516 and DT517 must submit a portfolio of work to DIT 40-45 Mountjoy Square, Dublin 1 on either Thursday 19th or Friday, 20th of this month before 4.30 pm each day.

Computer prize:

An Apple Power Macintosh 5500 computer is being offered to students as the prize in a free competition organised by publishers Gill & Macmillan and Apple. The Revision Time Competition will run between now and Friday, April 17th. To enter, students must answer a simple question and fill out an entry form which is available in bookshops throughout the country.

Play time:

Students who believe that "the play's the thing" may like to contact the Sticks and Stones Theatre Company, which is currently touring with an anti-bullying programme in schools in the greater Dublin area. The company, which has a steering committee of individuals including TCD's Dr Mona O'Moore and author Dr Brendan Byrne, is based at 19 Watkins Square, The Coombe, Dublin 8.
