I haven't seen my poetry on the Irish Writers' Centre website, but I'm flattered and thrilled that it's there. I just don't tend to give myself the time to surf the web.

I have used the web to book tickets and found it very convenient. I did try to do some research on it prior to a trip to Brazil. I posted a notice on the Lonely Planet noticeboard with questions about one obscure place I planned to visit. But I got no replies.

I use e-mail a lot. It's wonderful. It's marvellous for reaching agreement with interviewers and publishers, for the Write Now page that I edit in the Irish Times Weekend supplement.

If the internet were to disappear, I would be sad, because it's a free, quick, democratic way of getting up-to-date information. But, my only concern is that the information is not always accurate.
