A season of international performance art, the first of its kind in the State, gets off the mark on October 19th with "Marking the Territory", a three-day event which will include performances and installations featuring the work of 22 artists. The venue will be the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin. "Marking the Territory" begins at 6 p.m. on Friday October 19th. On Thursday, October 18th, Marina Abramovic, curator of the three-day event, will give a lecture on her view of contemporary performance and explain the selection process for "Marking the Territory" in Trinity College Dublin at 6 p.m. (tel: (01) 612 9900).
