Next year's Education Show takes place on April 13th, 14th and 15th at the RDS in Dublin. This is the fifth time the show has been held and it is the State's main showcase for the education and retail sectors, providing manufacturers, distributors and publishers with the opportunity to establish direct contact with people in pre-schools, primary, second and third level who buy equipment and services.
The show gives suppliers a marketplace for their publications and equipment and gives school and college purchasers direct access to the latest products available to them from suppliers in Ireland and Britain.
For the first time, the Association of Material Technology and Graphics Teachers (MTG) will hold its annual conference at the RDS in conjunction with the Education Show.
Organised in association with The Irish Times, the show has the support of the teacher unions, the ASTI, TUI and INTO; many of the subject teachers associations, including the Engineering and Technology Teachers` Association and the MTG; the Irish Federation of University Teachers, the Adult Education Organisers' Association, the Computer Education Society of Ireland, the School Library Association, the IPPA, the National Children's Nurseries Association and the Association of AMI Teachers Ireland.
Each year, thousands of teachers from all levels of education attend the show - it is a serious education show and not one for the casual visitor - so that people attending get the full attention of the many exhibitors.
Full details of the show will be carried in coming issues of Education and Living and an official catalogue of exhibitors will appear in a special issue of Education and Living just before the show.
