FIRST year: making of fine bench tools for watchmaking; clock study and repair; practical exercises on simple watch movements; escapement study and adjustment; basic horological theory principals.
Second year: escapement making and adjusting; study of regulating organ, hairspring vibrating, fitting, regulating and exercises on all types of watches; study and practical exercises on automatic watches, chronograph, calendar and day date movement; study of simple electronic watches, balance wheel, tuning fork and quartz models.
Third year: study of all electronic watches, analogue, digital and complicated models; exercises on soldering quartz, trimmers, resisters, diodes and repairing procedures; practice on all types of watch movements; replacement of watch parts and making of same; studies in technical drawing and horological theory.
Supplementary subjects: About 12 hours per week are devoted to electronics, maths/book-keeping, business studies, French and English. Third years also do practical classes in basic jewellery making and repairing.
