Ankara - Two moderate earthquakes rattled southern Turkey in the past 24 hours, but caused no serious casualties or damage in a country where lesser tremors occur almost daily, officials said.

Officials at the Kandilli Earthquake Observatory Centre said a quake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale rocked south Turkey near the city of Adana at 11.34 GMT yesterday.
