Duignan appointed as director of RTÉ radio

RTÉ’S DIRECTOR of programmes for television Clare Duignan is to become the new head of RTÉ radio.

RTÉ’S DIRECTOR of programmes for television Clare Duignan is to become the new head of RTÉ radio.

Ms Duignan, who has been with the State broadcaster for more than 30 years, replaces Adrian Moynes as managing director of RTÉ radio.

Ms Duignan became director of programmes for RTÉ Television in 2003, assuming responsibility for all of RTÉ Television’s home-produced programmes, both in-house and commissioned.

She will be responsible for RTÉ Radio 1, RTÉ 2FM, RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta and RTÉ lyric fm along with the six new digital radio stations RTÉ Choice, RTÉ Junior, RTÉ Gold, RTÉ 2XM, RTÉ Pulse and RTÉ Chill.
