A man has pleaded guilty to possession of a homemade explosive device at a house in Dublin earlier this year.

A man has pleaded guilty to possession of a homemade explosive device at a house in Dublin earlier this year.

Daniel McFaul (21) from Croftwood Crescent, Ballyfermot, admitted possessing the device on the 20th of January this year at a house on Belcamp Crescent, Clonshaugh.

He pleaded guilty at the Special Criminal Court to one charge of knowingly having an improvised explosive device containing nitrocellulose with a timing device and a power unit.

McFaul was remanded on continuing bail for sentence on January 17th.
