Gardaí at Kevin Street in Dublin are seeking the public's help in identifying the body of a man found in the south inner city at the weekend.

The body was discovered on the footpath at Island Street, Dublin 8, on Saturday at about 11 p.m. It was removed to St James's Hospital where death was pronounced.

A Garda spokesman said foul play is not suspected in the man's death.

He is described as being in his early to mid sixties, between five foot, six inches in height, with receding grey hair. He was wearing black "ADOR" runners, navy trousers, a white shirt, grey tie and grey sports jacket. He was also wearing a Quartz watch and carrying rosary beads and a single Yale key.

The man has a scar on his chest, two faded tattoos on his right arm and a single tattoo on his left arm.
