Gardai recovered cannabis worth £120,000 after a Dublin man was seen to drop two packages into the undergrowth inside the gates of Liffey Valley Park, a jury at the Circuit Criminal Court has been told. It also heard a further search of the park produced 40 more similar items which proved to be cannabis resin.

Mr John Kelly (42), Belfry, Inchicore, pleads not guilty to charges of possessing the cannabis resin for sale and supply at Liffey Valley Park on May 12th, 1997.
