Alcohol will be available to fans during the concerts by the rock group Oasis which take place in Cork on August 14th and 15th next following a decision by Cork Circuit Court to grant an occasional licence for the event.
The court was told that an objection by the Munster Agricultural Show Society, on whose grounds the drinks marquee will be sited, adjacent to the concert venue, had been withdrawn.
Mr Patrick Conway, the applicant and owner of the Lobby Bar, Cork, said strict precautions were being taken to curb under age drinking and the number of drinks were limited to two per patron.
