A woman had five operations after part of her lip was bitten off during an attack on her by three collie dogs at a relative’s home in Co Cork, the High Court heard yesterday.

It was claimed Bernadette O’Leary was left with permanent scars.

Her husband had also suffered injuries while their children witnessed the attack. Two of the couple’s five children are to receive a total of €75,000 for trauma.
