London - A gynaecologist was last night found guilty of serious professional misconduct for removing a 35-year-old patient's ovaries without her consent. The Harley Street surgeon, Dr John Studd (60), was given a severe admonishment with no further proceedings against him by the General Medical Council, leaving him able to continue working. He regretted negligence in a High Court case which resulted in a £32,500 out-of-court payment to Mrs Jacqueline Bartley.
