The director of the National Gallery, Mr Raymond Keaveney, has launched A Dictionary of Irish Art 20th Century, by Theo Snoddy.
The work contains entries on 500 painters, sculptors, stained glass artists and designers.
Mr Snoddy, a former art critic for the Belfast News letter, is art adviser to Ulster Television.
