BRITAIN: The British royal family were resigned last night to further revelations about Prince Charles's marriage to Diana to be aired on US television, following the broadcast of the first episode of a two-part documentary featuring interviews she gave 11 years ago with a voice coach.

A further extract due for broadcast next week will air her suspicion that the death in a motorcycle crash of her former bodyguard, Barry Mannakee, with whom she had an affair, was not an accident.

On Monday night, NBC broadcast extracts from interviews made by the princess at Kensington Palace in 1992 and 1993, while she was separating from Prince Charles, in which she discussed their sex life.

She described their "very odd" sex life in remarks she may never have imagined would be published. She said Charles slept with her once every three weeks, about as frequently as he saw his mistress Camilla Parker Bowles before their marriage, and they gave up sex altogether following the birth of Prince Harry in 1984.
