Racing:Hidden Cyclone was never out of second gear as he outclassed his three rivals in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Novice Hurdle to end his campaign in style at Navan.

John “Shark” Hanlon’s six-year-old made it six wins from seven starts with the minimum of fuss in this two-mile seven-furlong heat. He will now have a break before being trained for a chasing campaign next winter.

Medical Card set a steady pace until weakening out of contention before the turn into the straight with three to jump. Fists Of Fury tried to make a race of it but he was easily shrugged aside as Andrew McNamara let the 4-11 shot come home as he liked 13 lengths clear.

“I was delighted with that today. He jumped the way I wanted him to,” said Hanlon. “He really shouldn’t have been here but for the way he jumped at Thurles last time. We’ve worked a lot with him at home to get his head right. Andrew said for the first time he behaved himself.”
