Two held after drug seizures in Co Kildare

Two men have been arrested after separate drug seizures in Co Kildare yesterday evening.

During a search of a house at Bishopsland in Kildare town gardaí discovered cocaine with a street value of € 60,000, cannabis herb with a street value of € 20,000 and E tablets with a street value of € 10,000.

A 25-year-old man was arrested and is being held at Newbridge Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Another search of a house at Bell Harbour in Monasterevin yielded cannabis herb with a street value of € 10,000.

Another man was arrested and is also being held at Newbridge Garda Station.
