Man in 40s charged over fatal shooting of Michael Tormey

A man in his 40s has been charged in connection to the fatal shooting of Michael Tormey in Dublin earlier this month.

Mr Tormey (49) was shot outside his home on Thomond Road in Ballyfermot, in the early hours of January 9th .

Gardaí have charged a man in his 40s in relation to the incident. He is due to appear before Criminal Courts of Justice on Wednesday morning.

A woman (39) who had been arrested in connection with the shooting was released without charge on Tuesday evening and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
