Man (75) held in Dublin airport after 2kgs of cocaine found

A man in his seventies has been arrested in Dublin airport for trying to smuggle almost two kilos of cocaine into the country.

The US national (75) was arrested on Tuesday after his luggage was searched and 1.9 kilos of the drug, with an estimated street value of €133,000, was found.

The man had just arrived in Dublin on a flight from Charles De Gaulle airport in France.

He is being question by gardaí.
